A few months ago a Sheffield artist called Bird Lovegod sent me a book with an idea to save capitalism, the world, the universe and everything. Some parts were perhaps a little bonkers but the idea was for companies to link good deeds to their income. Now being half a hippie myself this really appealed to me.
We bought 50 umbrellas for 50 random acts of kindness, waited for the worst of the April showers and surprised Manchester folk in their moment of need. What a great thing. We delighted some people and for us, as a little team, it felt like a nutty school outing.
And maybe if the universe is made up of lots of tiny bits, small things make the difference!
Next, flashing back bike lights for invisible night cyclists.
