Bragging rights don’t come as easily around here as they used to. On arriving to work on Monday with tales of bravery and suffering after completing my first Scoot MTB Marathon I was a tad crest fallen to hear about young Luke’s weekend. 65k on a mountain bike at your own pace in Wales doesn’t really stack up against racing 245k on gravel, pave and farm tracks Belgium and France. And he even got the arty pics to go with the trip. Well done Luke. You’re the man.
Post MTB Marathon feel good factor.
11h59mins after setting off, 245km of ‘mixed surfaces’ in the bag. Representing Alpkit on 650b Sonder Camino Ti.
